55 km/h: private land only
The G2 Max reaches 55 km/h. In France an e-scooter is only allowed on public roads if its top speed by design is 25 km/h or less, and a selectable slow mode is not enough; in the UK no privately owned e-scooter may be ridden in public. With or without the seat, this version is for private land only. Better to know before you order than after.
- Public roads: no
Roads, cycle lanes, greenways, pavements: not allowed for this version, even in a 25 km/h mode. Its top speed by design (55 km/h) takes it out of the French e-scooter (EDPM) category; in the UK no private e-scooter may be used in public.
- Private land: yes
Private tracks, closed grounds, private property with the landowner’s permission: that is what this version is for.
- What we recommend
Helmet, gloves and protection, age 14 or over, and liability insurance that covers the scooter. Never carry a passenger.

UK law: privately owned e-scooters may only be ridden on private land, with the landowner’s permission. They are not allowed on public roads, pavements or cycle lanes. In France too, this version (55 km/h by design) is for private land only: a French public-road e-scooter must be limited to 25 km/h by design, and a selectable 25 km/h mode does not change that.
1,000 W motor · 48 V – 20.8 Ah battery
More pull, more reserve
A 1,000 W brushless motor in the rear wheel that peaks at 1,200 W according to KuKirin, with a stated 25 N·m of torque. It runs on a 48 V – 20.8 Ah lithium battery of 18650 cells with a management system (BMS): about 998 watt-hours (48 V × 20.8 Ah, our calculation), a third more than the G2.
- Three modes: 15, 40 and 55 km/h, all on private land for this version.
- Up to 22° slopes stated by the manufacturer.
- Up to 70 km stated for a 65 kg rider at medium speed.
- Charging: 10 to 11 hours with the supplied charger (54.6 V – 2 A).

Battery safety and transport: charge only with the original charger, somewhere dry and ventilated, on a non-flammable surface and while you are around, never in a hallway or escape route. Stop using and charging a scooter after a hard impact, or if the battery swells, gets unusually hot or smells: contact us. Lithium-ion batteries are dangerous goods in transport: the scooter is delivered by an approved carrier with the battery partly charged.

The Kukirin G2 Max is the G2’s big sister: a folding off-road electric scooter with a 1,000 W motor (1,200 W peak according to the manufacturer), a 48 V – 20.8 Ah lithium battery, 10-inch off-road tyres, dual suspension and a removable seat in the box.
Private land only. UK law does not allow privately owned e-scooters on public roads, pavements or cycle lanes. In France too, its top speed by design (55 km/h) is above the 25 km/h limit for road-legal e-scooters, and the 15 km/h mode does not change that.

G2 or G2 Max
Which one to choose?
Same family, same black and orange frame, same 10-inch wheels. The G2 Max adds power, a third more battery and a seat; the G2 stays almost 6 kg lighter. The figures below come from KuKirin’s spec sheets.

What keeps you safe
Braking, damping, being seen
At 55 km/h, what matters first is how it stops.

Twin disc brakes
A disc at the front, one at the back, plus the electric brake. KuKirin states a braking distance of 8 to 12 metres; it gets longer on gravel, grass or in the wet.
Front and rear suspension
Two spring shocks and 16.2 cm of ground clearance to ride over roots, ruts and track edges.
10-inch off-road tyres
255 × 80 mm tyres with a knobbly tread, inflated to 3.5 bar (50 psi) per the manufacturer’s sheet: check the pressure before every ride.
See and be seen
6 W LED headlight, indicators and a rear light that flashes when you brake: whoever shares the ground sees you coming and slowing down.
Removable seat · Folding
Seated for long rides, standing for the rest
The seat fits on its base at the back of the deck and adjusts in height; it comes off when you prefer to ride standing or to fold the scooter. The telescopic stem has three heights.
Let’s be frank: 31.7 kilos with the seat is heavy, and folded it keeps the width of its handlebar (60.5 cm). Measure your car boot before you order. That is the price of a big battery and a frame that does not flex under load.

Questions
What people ask us about the G2 Max
Can I ride it in town in the 15 km/h mode?
No. In the UK privately owned e-scooters are not allowed on public roads, pavements or cycle lanes at all. In France an e-scooter is only allowed in public if its top speed by design is 25 km/h or less; the G2 Max reaches 55 km/h by design, so the 15 km/h mode does not make it road-legal, and the seat does not make it a registered moped. It is for private land only.
G2 or G2 Max: which one?
The G2 Max if you want more stated range (70 km against 55), more power and a seat for long rides. The G2 if weight matters: 26 kg against 31.7 kg. Both are for private land only.
What range can I really expect?
The stated 70 km assumes a 65 kg rider at medium speed. With hills, stops, the 55 km/h mode, a heavier rider or cold weather, expect noticeably less.
Is the seat included, and does it come off?
Yes, the seat, its post and its base are in the box. It adjusts in height and comes off when you want to ride standing or fold the scooter.
How long does charging take?
Allow 10 to 11 hours for a full charge with the supplied charger (54.6 V – 2 A) from a household socket. Always charge while you are around, never overnight while you sleep.
Can I use it in the rain?
The manufacturer’s IP54 rating protects against dust and splashes. Do not hose it down and avoid deep puddles: electronics and bearings do not like immersion.
How do I take it to private land?
Folded, it measures 126 × 60.5 × 58 cm and weighs 31.7 kg with the seat: check the space in your car boot and lift it with two people. It must not be ridden on public roads to get there.
Why are there no customer reviews yet?
We only show reviews from customers who have received this scooter. We do not reuse another model’s reviews, not even the G2’s: G2 Max reviews will appear here once our first customers have tried it.
